POS Product list resetting to the beginning while browsing

If I'm just browsing our product list (no search criteria) it regularly jumps back to the top of the list.  Frustrating when I'm fairly deep into our list (7000+ Products).  Ist there a way to turn this "refresh" off?  Is it an iPad function?
