I just installed the latest POS update, and staff immediately noticed that the price override function is missing. Of course, they noticed immediately because it was useful and and something that we use all the time for sale items. Now I see lots of emails from folks complaining about the fact that it was removed but it's looking like all of these objections fell on deaf ears and this capability was never restored??
Please lmk if I've missed something and maybe that functionality is back but just landed somewhere else where I'm not seeing it??

You're correct, this functionality was removed and has not been replaced with anything.
I am glad that you were able to operate for an additional 5 months with this invaluable feature. The rest of us have had a miserable time dealing with unresponsive and inconsiderate CS tools and uncompassionate management that refuse to provide features we HAD and WANT BACK nor provide timeframes to acceptable replacement options. We also recently lost the "SAVE ORDER" feature, which was also invaluable to our operations but which SHOPIFY couldn't care less if we want it or not. They will tell you what you want, and you will just have to like it.

11:40 Agent (Support Advisor): Yes I totally understand and we do receive a lot of complaints why the feature has been sunsetted.
There is a big lack of upper management seeing what the developers do. There is no stop order before changes are pushed. Hundreds (thousands?) of users are frustrated and no knows or cares. They cut back on staff and replaced it with AI and now there is no change management in place at all. Obviously the people who code the changes are not daily users or they would not push out half broken changes that remove functions. They are upsetting their userbase and management is either unaware or they are trying to 'sunset' the entire POS system by making it nearly unusable.
