Products only available on POS until a certain date then available online

Hello wonderful people. 

I am preparing for a market and I wanted to add all my new stock to my POS and then have the remaining stock left over after the markets available on my online store. 

Is there a way I can update the stock levels on my item but only have those stock updates available for POS until the market is over? 

My workaround so far is to make a duplicate of the item and call it "XYZ Item POS" and just use that for the market then count and update the remaining stock after the market on my online store. this still seems a bit manual and double handling and I wanted too avoid this.

Hey there! You can definitely do this. You will want to create a new inventory location specifically for your popup. Then move the inventory over to that new location. Once the pop up is finished, you can deactivate the location and all remaining inventory is moved back to a location of your choosing.
