QR code in store sign up with discount

I want to create an email list sign up form by qr code for in store leads so people sign up to a newsletter and get a discount code from the sign up form. I am having trouble linking a qr code to a newsletter sign up to scan instore

I can totally see what this would look like in-store. First the cashier offers a sign up for a discount. Then the customer scans a QR code that’s displayed at the counter. After a quick sign up a discount QR code is displayed and can be scanned with shopify POS to redeem.
