Ready for pickup on special order purchases made in store?

We often have customers in store place Special Orders for items that may be out of stock or in a color we don't carry. Is there a way to choose "Local Pick Up" on those orders so we can have "ready for Pick up" notifications sent and in our system, rather than simply fulfilling the items and having them be archived prior to the customer's coming to pick up? Also, is there a way to change online orders to local pick up if the customer decides instead to pick up in store?

This is a feature that would be regularly utilized if it is available, and would great to have as a tile on the POS homepage. If not through shopify, is there an app that offers this function that we can install and connect to our shopify pos to do this?
