Current Issue:
- There is a limitation where, if a customer purchases more than 50 items, details for the 51st item and beyond are not printed on the receipt.
This limitation could potentially hinder the adoption of Shopify POS, especially for large stores dealing with a wide variety of products.
Concerns:
- Insufficient Information for Customers: When not all purchased items are listed on the receipt, it can cause anxiety for customers and inconvenience them during later verification. Customers who purchase a large number of items might not easily notice that their receipt is incomplete.
- Impact on Operational Efficiency: Some stores may rely on receipts for tasks such as product picking and inventory checks. If the receipt only lists a portion of the items, it could lead to oversights and errors in these processes.
- Impact on Large Stores: For large stores that handle a diverse range of products, it is not uncommon for a single purchase to exceed 50 items. For such businesses, this limitation can become a frequent issue in daily operations, potentially making them hesitant to adopt Shopify POS.
Previously Proposed Solutions:
- Remove the upper limit on the number of items that can be printed.
- If there is a limit due to printer constraints, implement a summary display such as "and X other items."
- Display a warning before printing if the sale includes more than 50 items and recommend sending the receipt via email.
We believe that these improvements would greatly contribute to a more comfortable and reliable POS system for users.
Therefore, considering the current situation and the concerns mentioned above, we sincerely request that you consider removing the 50-item limit for receipt printing in Shopify POS, or implementing improvements that allow for more flexible handling of such cases.
