Retail Checkout Major Issues: No saving receipt options for repeat customers, Payment Cancellations

There are two major issues that are causing me to consider switching to a different POS system. We run a bakery and have many repeat customers and at times have rushes where checkout time is crucial. 

 

1. During the retail checkout experience if a card is inserted before a customer hits continue and selects tip an error occurs and the customer is shown a screen that says payment cancelled when continue is pressed it says card inserted too soon and the customer has to repeat the steps until they are done it correct order. This is incredibly frustrating to our customers and our staff. We have to either explain the steps to every customer as it is counter intuitive, or we have to explain it to them after and run them through it again. 

 

2. There is no option to attach a receipt sending option (email or text) with a card being used. This is an option that square has where if you are using the same card it auto populates your receipt options after you choose it once. This means repeat customers who want receipts sent to them have to take the time to put in their email or phone number every time they come in, again needlessly frustrating. 

 

We will be considering how this disrupts business and impacts the customer experience and consider switching if a solution is not found soon.

I second having the ability for customers using the same card payment method to be auto populate previously entered phone numbers for text or email receipts.
