Retail hardware, software, and Shopify Point of Sale
Has anyone had an issue with Shopify POS not bringing up the size variant when checking out in person? I have verified that each size has a unique sku and barcode, but it still just brings up the item. Once item has appeared you have to click on the screen and choose size.
I feel with a unique sku/barcode it should just bring up the size you have scanned.
This is the default POS behavior. Frustrating.
Been having this issue since we switched POS providers. It is SUCH a gap in the software that costs businesses an incredible amount of time at every checkout. In fact, shopify's help page on barcodes only recommends them for use in wholesale, inventory, and warehouse applications - as those setting don't also need the variant to show up when scanned??
