Searchable tags on POS

We use tags to organize our shopify store for our POS system. May unique products have unique tags associated with them that help us search for them when a customer is checking out. These tags are searchable on our POS app on our iphone, but when we type the same tag in on a staff member's android it won't locate the items. Any advice?
