Retail hardware, software, and Shopify Point of Sale
Hello everyone,
I use Shopify solely for a POS system through their POS app on an iPad. My question is, why is the inventory shown on the iPad POS app not matching the inventory from the actual Shopify website? The Shopify POS will not update inventory unless the POS app is restarted/refreshed manually. I would like inventory to reflect the most recent purchases automatically. Is there a setting I am missing to do this?

The app isn't reflecting the same information as what is on the admin website. Admin is correct, app is not. So when a product is out of stock, employees aren't able to see if it is in stock at another location for a customer.
Assuming this is on an iPad, check to make sure in tablet settings -> Apps -> Shopify POS app settings, the "Allow Cross-website tracking" is enabled. That helped one of my clients recently who had a similar issue.
