Shopify POS + Barcode Scanner + Customer View

Morning,

Before I commit to this, I'd like to know if this particular set up is possible; your release notes on these individual items don't exactly state that this is possible.

Shopify POS app installed on iOS 

I see from the release notes that that bar code scanners will only work when on the Shopify plan AND you're using the POS app on an iOS device. Has anything changed yet to allow for android OS to support bar code scanners?

I want to take advantage of the second screen app

Can you use an iPad as the primary Shopify POS and then scan in the Android device as the Customer view screen? Or do you need to use an Android device as the primary Shopify POS AND Customer view screen?

Hi, @sydneyvapeshop !

I'd be happy to help clarify things here for you. You'd need to use the Shopify POS app in coordination with an iPad to use the barcode scanner. At this time, barcode scanners are only supported on the iPad. You would then need to use a separate Android device with Customer View. The Android device running the Customer View app is paired with your Shopify POS device through your wifi network. Make sure that both devices are connected to the same wifi network and wifi band (2.4GHz or 5GHz).
