Retail hardware, software, and Shopify Point of Sale
I was quite astonished to find that there hasn't been a similar feature request already, so now I'm creating one here.
My request is to include product SKU as part of each item line (product) on orders in Shopify POS. Currently, the title, variant, quantity and price are displayed, but the SKU is not included in an item line.
This is inconvenient, as larger merchants with a vast catalog of items cannot always identify the item in the store using just the title, variant, and price, but need the SKU at a minimum to pick the item.

For clarification, the feature you mention is only available to merchants in Shopify POS Pro, which is fine. We have already implemented this on several cases and it works as it should.
The problem is that in user cases where the staff walks around with a device with the POS app installed, it is simply better in terms of workflow that the SKU also appears in the app.

I agree that the ability to see the SKU more easily in the product info would be a great addition. We have many items with very similar descriptions and the SKU is so important to make sure that staff select the correct item.
We have also just introduced local pickup and the picking slips printed to a receipt printer don't even show the SKU! This means our staff have to go into Shopify admin to print a picking slip with SKU numbers - it is so inefficient.

I am sad to hear you are experiencing problems with the printed reciepts feature not showing SKU. We work with a merchant with a similar problem, i guess it is a tempoary bug.
