Sync 'Inventory' qty and "product" qty

Hi there,

I'm new to shopify and have a simple question to understand how shopify works with inventory in multiple locations.

Assuming I have a variant in location A and Location B. I have 2 at A, and 3 at B, making it a total of 5 units in inventory.

Question 1

If I import an inventory CSV file with the correct qtys (2 at A, and 3 at B), will shopify automatically update the product page to refelct a global inventory value of 5 for the product?

Question 2

If I import a Product csv file to update a price of a variant, and the Variant Inventory Qty is not alligned with what is in the inventory page, will this cause an error?
