Is anyone else having trouble with the tap and chip card readers? I’m on number 3 and it’s less than 1 year.
it will not connect. I go through the most ions of “forgetting” on the Bluetooth and pairing again but it will not pick it up.
The first time was last Xmas. It took 9 days to get a new one 🤦♀️ I had to go back to my Square system.
‘Shopify did replace it as they couldn’t figure out what was wrong with it. After that I purchased another one just in case so I am never in that situation again but now it’s gone again. So frustrating I’m looking at trying something else.
We have the same issue. We are running the current version of Shopify POS and our Bluetooth connection to Tap & Chip disconnects several times per day. Receipt printer is rarely working anymore. They are less than 2 years old, I think the Tap & Chip is a year old.
The Tap & Chip does that from time to time for us as well. But, we've had better luck with the newer card reader model: https://hardware.shopify.com/products/chipper-2x-bt-card-reader?variant=40990756536376
