Trouble connecting shopify to instagram and facebook

I am unable to connect the shopify store to my instagram account and im not sure why

 

I always get the error "

Sorry, this content isn't available right now

The link you followed may have expired, or the page may only be visible to an audience you're not in. " 
 
And im not sure how to fix it

Thank you for connecting with us and sharing your concerns. I double checked to see if any other new users are reporting this issue, and I wasn't able to find any widespread or ongoing concerns. Typically, when it's not something that can be replicated by other users it is a local issue.

 

Most commonly, it is caused by a caching or network issue, so let's quickly rule that out with the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Try clearing cache/cookies of current browser
  • Try from a different, up-to-date, browser
  • Try from a different network connection

Once you do that can you please try re-connecting to the apps once again? If the issue does persist at that point, please grab a screenshot for me of each step you are taking along with the error that is finally presented.

Hello! I am having this same issue. I have tried to go directly into Facebook and instagram to link instead, I am having the same issue with Facebook but instagram seems to say it connected no problem, but somehow I am still receiving the same error message when I try to finish process back within Facebook and Shopify.

If not, I'd encourage you to do so. This will allow us to help determine if the issue is related to your browser or Shopify directly. For ease, I've gone ahead and listed a few additional steps below that you can attempt to see if this helps to resolve: 

 

  • Clear your Cache and Cookies.
  • Access the shop in an Incognito Tab. 
  • Try Another Device (i.e a cell phone).
  • Try using Another Broswer (i.e Safari, Chrome, or Firefox).
  • Try accessing from the Shopify Mobile App. 
  • Try Restarting your device.
  • Make sure your device is Up To Date.
