Trying to import file with barcodes...can't get excel to not convert them to exponential notation!!!

I have tried everything I could think of...exporting to notepad and paste back into a text formatted column, etc. It keeps defaulting to exponential notation and when I import it, that's what gets in there. ANY suggestions?
