Update Shopify Receipt Payment Status when Payment Received in Quickbooks Online

Hi, folks!  We are using Shopify POS in our retail store, paired with Quickbooks Online.  I have connected Shopify to Quickbooks using the Quickbooks Bridge app, which sends individual transactional data to QBO instead of bulk summary data.

The issue I am having is that we have some customers set up with monthly charge accounts.  Those customers can order what they need, pick it up, and we send them a statement each month.  To get this to work in Shopify (we transitioned from another POS) we ring them up in the POS, then mark the receipt as unpaid.  This creates an invoice in QBO that will then show up on their monthly statements and an unpaid order in POS.

The one thing I can't figure out how to solve is that we are then receiving those payments in QBO.  Does anyone have an app or line of code they are using to get the individual orders in Shopify to update to paid status once a payment is received in QBO?  All the data seems to only flow out of Shopify, but not the other way around.

Right now I am manually marking orders as paid, but that's not a sustainable workaround.  Thanks for your ideas!

We are having the same issue as well! We have tried multiple connection solutions, like MESA and Zapier, but none of them work. We also reached out to a custom developer and the response was that getting data out of QBO without an already approved 3rd party app is basically impossible. If anyone else has more insight/ a possible solution, that would be very helpful!
