Hi, I am very new to all of this and have just set up my website. I have no clue what values are when adding my item? Can anyone help with this?

Congratulations on starting your Shopify store! When setting up your product, you will have the ability to add variants. This is useful when your product has more than one option, such as size or color. Each combination of option values for a product can be a variant of that product.

For instance, in the "Option name" field, enter a name for the option, such as "Size." The option name will be displayed to your customers. In the "Option values" section, enter each option value, such as "Small," "Medium," or "Large." The option values will be displayed to your customers when they select a variant.

Since you mentioned that you have just started, I suggest viewing The General Checklist as it’s great tool that will ensure that you have your Shopify store all set up.  You can go through the check list and be confident that you have a finished product, that includes having your media, shipping and check out all in working order.
