Using my EAN/UPC barcode numbers with the "Retail Barcode Labels" App

Hi there,

Can anyone help me please.

We are looking at purchasing EAN/UPC barcodes.

Once purchased, can I then use the "Retail Barcode Labels" App on Shopify POS to PRINT the barcode images? Are the images produced correct?

Hi @imkegevers,

Yes once you have your EAN/UPC barcodes then the "Retail Barcode Labels" App should produce the barcode labels in the correct format.

You can also add other information to your labels such as price, variant and more!

Hi Imke,

Were you able to print your barcodes in a UPC-A format with the Retail Barcode Labels app? I sell greeting cards through Albertsons, and the Retail Barcode Labels app prints my UPCs in a weird format that's not standard for Albertsons. You can visibly see the difference between a barcode you download from GS1US in the target UPC-A format, and the wide, shortened version created by Retail Barcode Labels. I'm struggling to customize the barcode template to a standard UPC-A format. For reference, I'm using a 2" x 1" label, as seen in the image below with the description, "My heart burns for you."

Any guidance?
