Vendor vs Supplier

I am new to Shopify POS. I have a physical retail store and do in person sales only. 
In Shopify how do Vendors relate to Suppliers when entering or updating inventory items?

You can refer to our Help Center documentation on vendors and suppliers to learn the differences between the two. Vendors are brought into the Shopify admin via the Stocky app, whereas suppliers are generated manually within Stocky and cannot be imported. Please also note that this feature is available to POS Pro merchants only.
