Weighed products?

Hi, 

 We are a deli/wineshop and sell cheese and other products which are sold individually by weight. How do we do this on Shopify POS?

Any help would be appreciated. We are changing over and can't really make it work if we can't.

Checking if you found a solution to this problem. I often get a request to buy $50 of meat. then the weight needs to be calculated. Is this possible?

We sell tea in bulk. Such a feature would help us too.

No  - the only solution is to have a products set up which sells for 1p per item and then sell multiples of that item. 

 Or if something sells for 50p per gram have the product sell for 50p and then if someone buys 100g you sell 100 items of that products @50p each.

It's a very untidy and inelegant solution which really makes a mess of reports. I would have thought it would be pretty easy to solve. 

Thankfully we don't sell weighed items any more but this doesn't help anyone who does....

Thanks for your answer.  It's not ideal, is it!  In fact it's not at all practical.  You'd think that Shopify would want to come up with a solution, as it must be a common problem.  Thanks again.

Unitpricer. App for Shopify does this for POS very well. Been using it for a year. Good luck

Sell Products by Weight in POS - available in the app store, I have been using for the past 2 months, works fine.
