I'm based in South Africa, and would like recommendations for barcode scanners & printers, as Shopify hardware is not available here.

 

Which hardware integrates most smoothly with Shopify?

 

Looking forward to hearing everyone's thoughts.

With regards to supported hardware in countries where Shopify hardware is not available, you can refer to this help document for that complete list. The page will include all the information displayed in the screenshot below:

There is NO information pertaining to South Africa on the help pages, that is exactly why I asked on the forum.

Thanks for that added information. 

 

The help document I shared with you is for exactly merchants like yourself that are from a country that does not have a Shopify Hardware Store meaning you can use the list in the link to see all possible hardwares that you can purchase from a third party seller which will still be compatible to use on the platform.

 

The tables in this document lists all possible hardwares that can work with Shopify and where you can buy them from us in the possible countries but since we are from one that is not yet supported, you can simply use the list as a reference for all devices that you can use. The only difference is that you will need to buy your own devices from a third party retailer.

I should've been more clear in my response especially since the screenshot completely blends in our reply to you in this thread. More importantly, I just want you to focus on the boxed text in my response above. It is the explanation that I am referring to in the screenshot. 

 

I am also attaching it here for your convenience: 

 

"If you are not located in a country with a Shopify hardware store, then you can refer to the following tables for supported model numbers and purchase hardware from a verified third-party retailer of your choice."
