Retail hardware, software, and Shopify Point of Sale
Hello all,
I am having a weird error when processing transactions in person. The tax settings are supposed to show (and at most part) 5% GST and 7% PST on receipts. HOWEVER recently, 4 times out of 10 at random, the receipt will instead show 5% GST and 7.000001% PST on random products/ transactions.
All of my settings are correct and the transactions have been processed perfectly with no accidental override errors.
Is this a glitch or something I am overlooking?

It may take a couple of business days for our Technical team to look at some of the affected orders and identify the problem. Once they've had to review your store, then they'll follow-up with you directly via email.
That being said, we'd love to hear more about the business that you're developing for your clients. What types of products do they sell? Do they have a marketing plan prepared for their store?

I'm still seeing this. Just checked my tax settings, and I don't even set the tax, just the region to BC PST.
I'll follow up with Chat support too. 😕
They haven’t been much help. It was even escalated to their “tax department” and weren’t able to fix the issue. Super frustrating
They wanted me to go and collect a bunch of diagnostic information from my ipad, and manually type it in to my trouble report. I submitted a problem report directly from Shopify POS, but I never heard back about that, and apparently that wasn't good enough to link it to my issue report.
I still saw it again the other day.
