Why is my "Cost per product" different to AliExpress product cost?

I imported a "security camera" from AliExpress which was showing it was $40 AUD and for the cables that came with you which you had to buy seperately was $1 AUD but when I had clicked on "Add Varients", I saw my "cost per product" on my Shopify admin and it was showing that each product was going to cost $180 AUD... Including the cables. That seems like an exaggerated amount right? I want to know if there is an error with Shopify or something.

I imported using Zendrop's extension but since Zendrop didn't have any information of that product from AliExpress, it didn't set a proper price on the Zendrop website which I then used to import to my shop. Since Zendrop didn't have any information about the product, does this mean Shopify just made a price on it's own or something?

(The was I import is I go on AliExpress to look for a product, then use Zendrop's extension to add the product I have selected into Zendrop, and from Zendrop I add description, title, price and everything and after I'm finished with that, I upload my product to Shopify Admin)

Hi there, @Adib_Hus. Thanks for taking the time to reach out to the Shopify Community Forums with your question around these imported products. My name is Imogen. It's nice to meet you!

If these are products that you're importing into Shopify from a third party app or service, then the data being reflected in Shopify is what is being imported from those apps and services. 'Cost per Item' is something you would enter in manually for your products, unless your products are being imported, so if you're noticing oddities with this value, it would be a good call to reach out to the Support Team of service that is allowing you to import this product so they can look into the data that is being fed into Shopify with you, and determine the cause. You can also adjust this amount manually within your admin, but some importing services will 'refresh' the data they send to Shopify in regular time intervals, and those may overwrite this change; this depends on the service you're using, however, and the data they feed into Shopify.
