Why isn't the variant option showing up after product customization?

hello. i added my product/service, but the option to choose variants didn't pop up when i customized my product.

It's a small checkbox towards the bottom. Right near tariffs. Something
like "This product has options". Once you check it, you get fields for
adding options and option values.
