Retail hardware, software, and Shopify Point of Sale
Hi, I'm really stuck.
I bought the wisepad reader3 new from the shopify store, I also bought a new Galaxy tab A running Android 12.0.
They pair together ok, but the shopify POS app says it won't connect, even though it finds the wise pad ok.
When I tried to connect it on the shopify pos app on my phone, Galaxy s22, it worked quickly and seems that will work fine and accept payments on the phone. So I Restarted everything, unpaired everything. Still no luck connecting to the tablet.
My new shop opens in 4 days and I have no eftpos running. Has this happened to anyone else before? I feel like it's just some setting or something I'm missing but I've tried everything.

I understand that you've purchased the WisePad 3 card reader and a Galaxy Tab A. However, the Shopify POS app isn't able to connect with the card reader on the tablet. Since the card reader is connecting with your smartphone, then it's possible that something on the tablet needs to be updated. Did you get a chance to try the suggestions listed on our WisePad 3 troubleshooting guide?
If the issue continues to persists, then it looks like we'll need to take a closer look at your account and the report logs for Shopify POS. While we're unable to provide account-specific support via the Shopify Community, we'd be happy to further assist you through live chats.
