What is AMA?  I wish this e-mail and these pages would explain what to do with links how to do it.  I have no idea how to find the questions others have asked that I may hopefully apply to my own site and situation.  Why does this have to be so confusing complicated?

How It Works

Our AMA format has changed. Please read these instructions to ensure your question is answered. 

  1. Go to our  SEO Office Hours board
  2. Click Ask a Question
  3. Write your question
  4. Click Post at the bottom of the page
  5. Join us February 13th to see your answer from Kyle Risley!

Can’t make it on the day? Not a problem, you will be able to see the answer from your Profile or by finding your question in the board.

So, I thought I followed those instructions.  What you are saying is that I only receive an answer to my own question?  Why can I not learn from other's questions?  Also, does it not save Kyle's time to not have to repeat with or without variations to what must be very similar questions ?

 

I learn faster by seeing how others problems are resolved.  Also, I tried to put in a question and kept getting error messages to fill out high=lighted things that I never saw as highlighted.

You are welcome to check out any of the questions and answer on the SEO Office Hours board. You can see what others are asking, and see Kyle's replies once he has posted them. 

 

As for the error that is likely due to not selecting a label for your question. It is on the right hand side of the page and is something overlooked. If you continue to have that error please PM me with a screenshot of your whole page where the error appears so I can look into it further!

Thanks... I am slowly figuring this out.  But I must say that I would prefer a live YouTube video so that I may listen to others questions (or mine, if they are different) while I work on other things.  I do not like having to jump around this site / board to read all of the responses... overwhelming and does not feel efficient.  Just my feedback... I did manage to leave my questions.  So, thank you for your quick attention.

Hi Jacqui, I posted a question before the event which I was not able to attend, I just checked the board and I don't see an answer to my question, I was under the impression that all the questions would be answered, or were they randomly selected?

My question was: "What would be an appropriate Alt-text for the product pictures in a toy rental website?"

well, it sure did not say that in my email advertising, very misleading and I spent an hour trying to log on - wow
