What other APIs are available for accessing sales data?

Hey @dbeadleson

Considering the deprecation of the Analytics API,  dependent on the type of sales data you wish to pull a good start for sales data would be the Orders Resource.  Generally, any stores collect data from other areas of the REST API in the light of the Analytics deprecation.

Hey @Luke_K ,

Thanks for the reply. If i wanted to calculate the average daily revenue over the past year, what would be the best api to use? Orders api would be inefficient as this would be alot of orders to evaluate, many api calls and involve hitting the api rate limit.

All the best

Daniel

Hey @dbeadleson

Apologies for the late reply, I have been in and out of office.

Considering our native Analytics deprecation some of our merchants do use Order webhooks to track this type of data, but many don't rely on that solely. Other merchants use third party ETL apps.

We do note that there is an opening here, and we're working on a solid connection between Shopify's App Bridge and a native Shopify Analytics integration. We do see the value here and acknowledge that a native Shopify Analytics offering is an anticipated feature. In 2021, the App Bridge team are exploring how best to set this up in a way that works best for our merchants and partners.

@Luke_K is there any updates on the release of such a feature? We are also struggling due to the deprecation of the analytics API. Would love to beta test if the team is looking for folks.
