Authenticate customer using API without asking them to type their credentials

When customer click a button in Shopify theme, it send request to my server. The question is, how can server know which customer sent request ?

I know I can ask customer to type their email and password, then use createCustomerAccessToken to authenticate. But I don't want to ask customer type their credentials again after they logged in Shopify

Does Shopify support something like I can add something from local storage / cookie to header of request, send to my server. Server then use Shopify API to identify customer ?
