Best practice for "return to product" navigation when displaying embedded app via admin link?

I have an embedded Polaris app which is accessed via an admin link on the product detail admin page.  It loads in the current tab rather than opening a new one.

It's unclear to me what navigation I should put in place to allow the user to return to the product detail admin page once they're done using my app.  

Should I use the "breadcrumb" attribute of the Polaris Page component?  Or something else?
