Creating a Chrome extension that pulls order info and rewrites the shopify admin dashboard - ok/not?

I'm exploring building an app that would pull order details and then feeding this to a chrome extension that would rewrite the HTML in the admin order page to provide additional information to the shop owner.

Probably not a very common use case, but does anyone know if Shopify has any rules for their API/app store that strictly forbid this?

I did, it pulled all the expenses even from FB and outputted the calculated actual profit  to the admin 'today' screen. Was useful to me to have it in my main dashboard rather than a third party one. It was only as a private app in my shop, to set it up as a public app would've been the next step I didn't take, mostly I got out of the ecom business mid last year.

I'd love a chrome extension that shows shipping status of my sent orders. Any ideas around this as far as best way to build?
