Creating a payment App.

Hello,

I'm interested in building a Shopify app that would allow the merchant to accept payments from a user, so that the customer can pay for an item via our payment APP. I reviewed the docs https://shopify.dev/apps/payments/getting-started , but couldn't further proceeded with mentioned steps, we didnt find any extensions for installing for payments as described in the docs and aslo we couldn't clearly understand about the OAuth process in the shopify docs. Any help to point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

I run across the same situation. If there is anybody that can intruduce this app type to build, it would be great.

Thank you for your interest in creating a payments app. As per the info at https://shopify.dev/apps/payments/getting-started payments apps need extra permissions which need to be applied for and approved by Shopify. Currently the application process is not open, but we do plan on opening it during Q3, so I would recommend checking back on this page periodically for any updates.
