Creating notes via Graphql API layout issue in order notes

Notes created for an order using the graphql api do not preserve line-breaks and the word-wrap css make the page look a mess forcing it to the right.

When it should look like this:

Does anyone have a solution to this?

I would love to write comments on an order via the API. Notes is a rubbish workaround and I know it will cause me some issues.
