Development discussions around Shopify APIs
what's up guys? I want to valry my domain and this show me thet error -
I did everything as listed I pasted the previous one in theme.liquid below <head>
And it still shows me this error
It is important to say that before it shows me this error I deleted the main domain of the site it is myshofify because I changed the domain dstorem.co.il and since then I can not approve the new domain ..
Hey @danielmiara,
Welcome to the Shopify Community. I'll be happy to help you out with this.
You mentioned that you had previously removed the domain dstorem.co.il from your store and you are now using the myshopify URL as your primary domain, is this correct? The first thing I'd like to let you know is that your .myshopify.com domain does not need to be verified if you're not using it as your primary domain. From what I understand, dstorem.co.il should be your primary domain that your customers use to access your online store. If that's the case, then you can completely disregard the .myshopify.com one, as it isn't the domain you'd provide to Facebook/Instagram.
It appears the verification has failed due to an authentication code mismatch. This message suggests that you probably need to update the verification file with the new code provided in the Business Manager. When you update or change the primary domain, a new meta tag code will be generated.
What I suggest doing next is removing the original meta tag that you pasted in your theme.liquid below <head> then ensuring your custom domain is connected as your primary domain before inserting the new meta tag into your theme. Make sure that you have copied the correct format which is <meta name=”XX” content=”XX”/>. Check to see If your code is missing a < or “, or has extra attributes. Any other format will cause an issue.
Follow these step by step instructions below to assist you further:
Choosing a business name and purchasing a custom domain is one of the seven steps in this article on building a brand from scratch. I suggest having a read to see what other areas you could work on! Have you thought about designing a logo? It’s the face of your company and could potentially be everywhere that your brand exists.
If you have any questions please feel free to thread those below.
Cheers!

Hello there.
We are facing the exact same problem. We did follow the steps for the facebook domain verification one by one and put the meta code right under the <head> section of the main page HTML file. We actually used both meta codes, one for the primary (custom) domain and one for the domain that was created by Shopify. Same Error appeared. What can we do? Please note we assured many times that the code is correctly copied and pasted. Any ideas except from waiting 72 hours?
