Development discussions around Shopify APIs
I am working on a private app that gets orders from Shopify to put into our ERP system. I primarily use the since_id parameter to get orders. I have noticed that if I do the same request with the same ID several times over a couple of days, some of the orders I have received at one time I no longer receive at a later time. After researching this, it seems that once the order is closed (closed_at field not null) I no longer receive that order in my get orders request (using since_Id). But the API documentation indicates that I should be getting orders with all fulfillment statuses (including fulfillment status as filled) as default. Is the documentation incorrect? Thank you.
I figured this out. While the parameters for requesting orders did not include the "status" parameter, the examples did include a "status=any" which allowed me to get closed statuses. (The documentation should include the status parameter other than just in the examples.)
