graphiql app - no explore option

Is there any reason why there is no "explore" button when the graphiql app is installed in a shop?

The demo has the schema explorer - which is a lot more useful than having to use the docs panel - but it is a demo only. Install the app fully and the explorer button is gone.

Am I missing something?
