How do I get collection ID ?

Greetings,

I'm unable to find out where collections IDs are stored.

Basically using VB.NET we create a product and want to make it available in a custom collection called "New" so all new products are shown as "Latest" on our frontpage.

If anyone can help out please do.

Could you explain a little more what you mean? Collections can be found at /admin/custom_collections.json and /admin/smart_collections.json depending on the collection type. If that's not what you were looking for let me know with a bit more detail and I can help you out.
