How to add public app as sales channel?

I need to create a checkout (requires sales channel) but I also need to access the items in the storefront (requires a public app). However when I look at my Partners dashboard, I don't see the option to add my public app as a sales channel (see screenshot).

How do I get around this?

Take a look here - turning the app into a sales channel is done within the partner dashboard. Those docs should guide you into what's possible/the process with creating a Sales Channel app. Hope that helps!
