how to connect shopify to power bi?

Hi @Matthias_Schniz , have you tried simply exporting your Shopify data as a CSV and importing it into PowerBI? What specifically are you hoping to use PowerBI to accomplish?

No i  havent tried it yet. I wanted to use an API solution sothat i can automate the process.

My goal is i want to analyze all my orders and turnover from Shopify sales in PBI

Hi @Matthias_Schniz ,

if  I recall it correctly Power BI has added Python some time ago. Then you can use just a private app together with Python to do requests to the APIs. I am using this to do reporting with a Jupyter Notebook and it works like a charm. That should transfer to Power BI.

@Matthias_Schniz gotcha. How frequently do you want Shopify data to be exported to PowerBI? And you want it to be done on it's only schedule, rather than having to manually trigger it right?

exactly. Actually every two weeks is fine or even 1  a month.

I prefer it scheduled when it's easy to set up. Do you know a way?

I am facing a similar issue. I wish to download in a daily basis data from Shopify to Power BI. I will create a model in Power BI because I will also download data from another source. So, I will report both data sources (Shopify and external) as ONE model.

I am confused of what should I do to establish the Shopify to Power BI connection. I would really appreciate if you could give me some guideline.
