How to get the payment method using rest api for an order

Hi Team,

How to retrieve the payment details for an order here ? i.e Whether an order is cash on delivery or an online payment?

All i can see in the order-api call is :

[gateway] field but it will be deprecated. 

[payment_gateway_names] : But the cash on delivery values are different for different stores i.e sometimes value will be Cash on Delivery (COD)  and some times it will be cash_on_delivery.

Or should i use the transaction api call? i.e https://shopify.dev/api/admin/rest/reference/orders/transaction

Please help me.....
