Image URL from Product API leads to broken page

We have a merchant for who the Product API is returning image URLs that are dead links. Specifically, there seems to be something going on with image sizes:

from API (broken): https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2197/1491/products/variety_pack.png?v=1507403934

actual image from the product page (works): https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2197/1491/products/variety_pack_1024x1024.png?v=1507403934

As far as I can see, there are no changes to the API that would require me to transform or think about this image URL in any way, it should just load. It's also not happening for all products. I can provide more details but I'm not sure how much store specific info to include here.

That's an interesting one. I'd suggest that you send this up to the Support team to look at in more detail.

• What happens when you attempt to edit the image via the Admin?
• Any chance of just uploading the image again?

Unfortunately, we don't have access to the store itself, only through the API.
