Development discussions around Shopify APIs
I saw an old post about this that was marked closed, but I don't see an actual answer in the post: https://ecommerce.shopify.com/c/shopify-discussion/t/variant-id-missing-for-back-end-sales-front-end...
When I call the API via the Ruby SDK, and try to fetch order information, all order created via the "Draft" functionality are missing key information, product_id, variant_id, and sku are the most critical for our purposes.
Is this a known issue? Why doesn't this info come back? I can look up product info by munging the title into another cumbersome query, but it doesn't seem ideal.
Let me know if more details are required.
Hey Andrew,
Can you confirm that the Draft Order didn't have custom line items which would result in an order that includes line items with no variant ID, product ID, or SKU?
