Overriding Shopify transaction fee by Editing the checkout page and changing the shopify API Key

Ok so this is my issue I work for merchant services company as a developer and we have a big portfolio of costumers that wants to use shopify website but dont want the extra transaction fee shopify puts them when using our merchant services since we qualify as third party payment provider. The Idea that i had to fix this issue was to change the source code on the check out page and at the time of proccessing payment we will use and Usaepay source key, which is a payment gateway this way we would keep all feture form shopify but they wont procces none of the transaction leaving that job to us and that way not adding the extra fee to our clients. The problem with this is that this is only possible in a shopify plus acc wich some of our merchant migth not qulify for. So my questions is the following. How could we replace the checkout pyment so that is not shopify the one proccessing the transactions and doing so they dont add the transaction fee.

As and Idea too Please tell me if is possible. What if i create a plugin app that will work as a checkoutpage that will work independetly from shopify checkout page and will comunicate with the shopify inventory.

It's the exact thing I was looking for last year. There are 2 solutions: 

• Create a sales channel app: since the requirements were too high for us (if not impossible), I abandoned this way
• Build the checkout from ground up: with all the nitty-gritty details of payment processing, discounting, shipping, etc.

Hey Zolybar thankyou so much I have spent the whole week trying to find a solution and you have giving me two. I have some questions if is no bother. Mainly what will be the requirement to create a sales app, and if by doing ether or you still have acces to all other feature from shopify. Also do you know any sales apps that does this already if not do you have a boiler plat for the checkout page that i could check out.

Hey Salamander232, 

You just need to look deeper into both of them. 

For the checkout page, the following Shopify Admin API endpoints will be needed (so look into them too): 

Assets, DraftOrders, Orders, Products, ProductVariants, PriceRules, DiscountCodes

It's not a recommended way by Shopify, so don't expect to find any boilerplate on a platter 😜

As far as I know, a Shopify app called Recharge had already done it → they're pretty big and their whole business model is around it.
