Shopify APIs and SDKs

Hi All,

At the moment I would like to build a new Shopify store for a customer of mine. But one of the features the customer would like to be implemented is the possibility to add and update orders and users in the Shopify store with use of a 3th party application. To achieve this I would like to make use of the different Shopify API’s.

Before we will start developing it would be nice if our plan can be reviewed by some developers. After mailing Shopify support I was advised to start a topic on the forum.

So the plan is …

To generate private app which will give us API credentials with can be used by the other application.
The 3th party application can get product and pricing information with the use of the product api https://shopify.dev/docs/admin-api/rest/reference/products/product?api[version]=2020-04
The 3th party application can validate discount code with the use of the discountcode api https://shopify.dev/docs/admin-api/rest/reference/discounts/discountcode?api[version]=2020-04
Linking to the 3th party application for one specific situation .. over there some choices are made and a order will be created .. also the payment will be handled over there.
Creating or updating a customer account (including password) in Shopify to keep them in sync between the two systems with use of the customer api https://shopify.dev/docs/admin-api/rest/reference/customers/customer
Creating or updating (including financial and fulfilment statusses) the order in Shopify with use of the order api https://shopify.dev/docs/admin-api/rest/reference/orders/order#create-2020-04
That after this, processing the specific order can be done like other orders which were done in the Shopify store itself
That the user can view the history from all order orders (so both directly from store as from the 3th prarty application) after logging in to their account.
