Hi all,
When I reorder the products in a smart collection using API, the new order of the products in the client-side of the website doesn't change because it is cached (It works after I delete the local browser cache). However, when I manually update the order of the smart collection through the Shopify UI, it gets past the browser cache and works fine.
Any idea on how make the browser not use the cache for the order of products in collections? Or, what is the difference between the two methods of product reordering?
I did further research into this, and found that clearing the local browser cache actually does not help. I looked through the response body, and saw that the order of the images did stay the same, even after running the API. It did not stay the same when I change it through the UI. It seems like something in the Shopify servers does not detect when API changes the order of images.
