What have you tried? Admittedly, when they first came out in 2010 or whatever, they were a little murky to work with. But a dozen years later, they are hardly difficult. They are a resource. They have an ID. They belong to another resource, that also has an ID. They have a key, and a value. And that value is a type.
What exactly would you need beyond those basics to function with them? The docs have plenty to say as well, and a brief look at any Shopify API source code, reveals all their methods for working with them in whatever language you choose.
