Published Scope of Products

There have been past discussions many years ago about the published scope of products to different channels, but I can't seem to find any solutions to it and not sure if this has been solved.

I would like to display a product on POS but not on the "web" channel, and sometimes I only want to display it on web and not POS.

Is there any way to do this?

I was wondering if this has been made available yet?

I am trying to publish items specifically to POS, and not Web, using API calls. 

From what I can see in the documentation, it looks like only 'web' and 'global' are available. But I am hoping there is a way to get more granular?

We have not seen any update since 2016 to publish a product only to POS and not Web. Could you update us?

Or is there any turn around?
