Publishing to third-party sales channels from the API

Does the Product API endpoint allow for publishing to third-party sales channels like Amazon?

We are building an app integration that allows for creating new products. One of our customers uses several third-party sales channels. They used our app, which sets published_scope = 'global' and published = true when creating a new product, but it only publishes the product to the Shopify online store. They have to go into the Shopify Admin UI and manually publish the product to the other sales channels.

Hey there,

This has been something debated internally for some time now. Currently though it is not possible to publish to other third-party sales channels via the Product API, sales channels are only able to publish to themselves with the sales channel only ProductListing API.

Is this still the case. Seems really unhelpful if you can't use the back end admin to create a product then access that on the storefront API.
