Update original price via hosted payment page sdk integration

Hi,

We are integrating shopify hosted payment page sdk. There is a conceptual question that we have. After successful order we want to change the price of the order in shopify system. is it possible ?

Sample Scenario: order is 100 $. we initialized payment page with 100 $ 

after customers selection, there will be surcharge for payment and customer will pay 105 $.

We want to inform the shopify about extra 5$ and want to change the original amount to 105$.

is it possible ?

Hey there, 

It is currently possible to capture/authorize more than an order's total price through our HPSDK. However, you wouldn't be able to change the price of the order itself, so I would recommend very strongly against doing this as it creates a negative user experience on the Shopify end of things.

It's also quite possible that this behaviour could change at any time, so if possible I would suggest keeping any logic to charge an additional fee separate to your own hosted page.
