Could someone please let me know, on how to check the status of a webhook submission and the details of the failed communication. My private webhooks are not working now.

Thanks for reaching out. You can access the webhooks metrics in the Partner Dashboard (Apps > Webhook Deliveries section). This should give you more insight about all your webhook deliveries. Here's the documentation for more details: https://shopify.dev/apps/webhooks/delivery-metrics.
